Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner provides clinical psychotherapy and psychopharmacology services to patients primarily through telehealth, collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, and operational teams for clinical excellence and administrative support.

Work Location

Montclair, NJ Office (28 Valley Rd Office 139, Montclair, NJ 07042) – Hybrid with Thursday or Friday available for on‑site days; remaining days remote.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality clinical care reflecting Rivia Mind’s culture and values.
  • Maintain a weekly average of 50 patient sessions (25–45 minute sessions) while adhering to productivity expectations.
  • Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and develop patient‑centered treatment plans.
  • Deliver psychotherapy using modalities such as CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and other evidence‑based approaches.
  • Prescribe and refill medications within appropriate, professional guidelines.
  • Offer clinical support and counseling in a telehealth environment.
  • Coach patients on managing health conditions and support behavior change.
  • Provide crisis intervention, assessment, and treatment of emotional and behavioral problems.
  • Comply with clinical standards, complete thorough session notes on time, and follow Documentation, Privacy, and Compliance expectations.
  • Encourage a collaborative, co‑learning work culture.
  • Perform other related role and team duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
  • New Jersey State licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP/APRN), Registered Nurse (RN), and active DEA license.
  • PMHNP‑BC board certification is preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of psychotherapy experience using CBT, MI, DBT or similar modalities.
  • Experience in outpatient settings and with telehealth / telemedicine workflows.
  • Proficiency with technology platforms (Google Suite, EHR, practice management software).
  • Intermediate computer and technical skills.

Compensation & Employment Details

Pay Range: $140,000 – $150,000 annually. Clinicians eligible for quarterly bonuses up to $8,000 annually. Compensation determined by location, responsibilities, skills, and credentials.

Work Schedule
  • Operating hours:
    Monday‑Friday 8 am–6 pm; flexibility for early starts (7 am) or late ends (9 pm) and Saturday 9 am–5 pm (all Eastern Time).
  • Must schedule at least four hours outside weekday 5 pm, or include weekend hours.
  • On‑call not required; response to time‑sensitive emails on unscheduled days is expected.
  • Consistent weekly schedule is required; start and end times may vary each day.
