Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support financial operations for assigned facilities in Montebello, California. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, guiding the monthly close process, and delivering dependable financial reporting that supports sound business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Produce monthly financial reports for assigned facilities with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Review financial results to identify variances, recommend corrections, and resolve inconsistencies in the general ledger.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable to confirm the accuracy of invoices, disbursements, and accrued expenses.
• Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items promptly.
• Provide organized schedules and records to assist with audit, tax, and financial review requests.
• Monitor financial activity and communicate meaningful trends or issues to internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to accounting process improvements and support system-related tasks when needed.
