Department: Design / Product Development – Men’s Division

Position Summary

The Design Assistant supports the Design team in the development of licensed and private label apparel collections from concept through production. This role is responsible for tracking inbound/outbound samples, maintaining product information, coordinating samples, and ensuring accurate communication between Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and overseas vendors.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and thrives in a fast-paced apparel environment with multiple deadlines.

Product Design Support
  • Assist designers in developing seasonal collections and line extensions.
  • Create and update Adobe Illustrator flats and technical sketches.
  • Prepare presentation boards, color palettes, trend boards, and design concepts.
  • Organize artwork, graphics, trims, and inspiration materials.
  • Maintain seasonal design files and archives.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with:
  • Product Development
  • Technical Design
  • Production
  • Overseas sourcing offices
  • Communicate artwork revisions and design updates to internal teams and factories.
PLM & Data Management
  • Enter and maintain product information within the PLM system.
  • Upload artwork, specifications, measurements, and construction details.
  • Maintain style numbers, colorways, fabric information, and trims.
  • Ensure product data remains accurate throughout development.
Administrative Support
  • Schedule meetings and prepare presentation materials.
  • Order trims, swatches, and design supplies.
  • Assist with trade shows, customer presentations, and seasonal line reviews.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of apparel design or product development experience (internships accepted).
  • Strong
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passion for fashion and licensed apparel.
