School-Based Orientation and Mobility Teacher; O&M

. Help students from infancy through high school navigate their world with confidence, providing life-changing instruction this  school year!

• Provide direct and consultative Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services to K-12 students, including infants and preschoolers, to ensure safe, efficient, and independent travel within their educational environments.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations within the nine areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) and develop tailored strategies for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams across various school sites throughout the assigned region, providing expert guidance on visual impairment support and student progress.
• Design and implement individualized travel techniques that prepare students for long-term independence, adapting methods based on the specific maturity and needs of the student.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education with a focus on Visual Impairment or Orientation & Mobility
• Valid Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential with an authorization in Orientation and Mobility
• Prior experience working with school-aged children (including early intervention) and students with complex, multiple impairments

• Top Compensation

  Earn a highly competitive hourly rate of $79.30 - $85.90 Per Hour
