An exclusive client of ours, a rapidly growing healthcare services organization, is seeking a Director of Accounts Payable to lead and scale their AP operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, process-minded leader who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and wants to make a big impact from day one.

About the Role: This is an on-site role based in Montebello, CA, with flexibility across a few local locations for the first year. You’ll report to the Assistant Controller and oversee a team of 10–15 AP professionals, managing the entire accounts payable function while implementing process improvements and supporting integration efforts across multiple acquisitions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 10–15

Ensure timely, accurate payments and reconciliations

Own monthly AP close and reporting functions

Oversee 1099 filings, credit card reconciliations, petty cash, and more

Drive process improvements, standardization, and systems optimization (transitioning from Great Plains to Net Suite or Sage Intacct)

Collaborate with leadership to support M&A onboarding and future scalability

Must-Haves:

5+ years of AP management experience

Experience leading midsize to large teams (10+)

Strong process improvement skills

Comfortable in fast-paced, acquisition-heavy environments

Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Great Plains preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
