Registered Nurse - ICU Lead Day Shift

Role Overview :

This position provides unit-based leadership in a hospital setting, collaborating with nursing management, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality patient care, safety, and satisfaction.

• Supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring effective patient care delivery.
• Developing and implementing care plans, fostering patient and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity.
• Monitoring compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital policies through participation in performance improvement activities.
• Assessing staffing needs based on patient acuity, assigning personnel, and managing schedules to optimize efficiency and control costs.
• Participating in staff performance evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and hiring decisions.
• Ensuring department safety, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness, and facilitating repairs when needed.
• Engaging with patients and families to gather feedback, address concerns, and improve service quality.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required), Master’s preferred.
• Minimum five years of technical nursing experience, with supervisory skills.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practice state.
• Required certifications include BLS and NIH Stroke Scale; CPR, clinical specialty, and other certifications are preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment abilities, with a focus on patient safety and team collaboration.
