POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Payroll Specialist - HR Department is responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of payroll for Cogir employees and its partners. They are responsible for maintaining employee payroll files, ensuring compliance with tax laws and labor standards, while providing excellent support to employees and partners.
ROLE AND
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accurately handle various payroll reports
Addressing and resolving frontline complaints, as well as unusual and complex situations
Analyze and process requests from various internal and external sources, including requests from the internal ticketing system, in accordance with the guidelines of the Service Level Agreement.
Documenting internal processes while ensuring compliance with company policies
Ensure that internal control measures are applied to meet the confidentiality standards established by law 25
Ensure the accuracy of data relating to working conditions established in the employee's contract, such as absences (vacation, sick days, personal days), social benefits, deductions and taxable benefits.
Ensure the conformity of the data produced, respecting legislative rules, labor standards and internal policies
Interpret and ensure compliance with the various collective agreements
Prepare and submit statutory remittances and government declarations.
Prepare, validate, and process payroll for all employees within the assigned portfolio.
Support year-end activities, including the production of T4s, RL-1s, and other required reports
To answer questions regarding employee compensation with integrity and accuracy in order to provide and maintain exceptional customer service and employee satisfaction for Cogir and its partners
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
SCP certification from the National Payroll Institute
