POSITION: ELECTROMECHANIC OR INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an Electromechanic or Industrial Mechanic for the day shift. Reporting to the Production and Building Maintenance Director, the Electromechanic/Industrial Mechanic is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Work safely and follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain production equipment according to a scheduled maintenance program (cleaning, lubrication, adjustments).
  • Analyze, identify, and repair equipment breakdowns.
  • Replace defective parts to ensure proper equipment performance.
  • Recommend equipment and tools to improve productivity.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Be on call every other week for the evening shift from 3:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
  • Maintain the building (HVAC filter replacement, etc.).
  • Perform inspection rounds of utility systems (compressors, HVAC systems, pumps).
  • Maintain forklifts (asset).
  • Perform welding work.
  • Keep the mechanical workshop clean and organized.
  • Support and assist production operators as needed.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.
General Requirements
  • Vocational diploma (DEP) in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Practical welding experience.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and automation.
  • Knowledge of a preventive maintenance program is an asset.
  • Forklift operator certification is an asset.
  • Important asset:
    English language proficiency to understand machinery‑related documentation.

Working Conditions
  • Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week.
  • Day shift schedule:
    • Monday to Thursday: 6:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
