This is a full‑time position with Los Angeles Community College District.
Utilities Coordinator III/VDC Responsibilities- Monitoring and reconciling the design, construction, and facilities submittal data related to underground utilities.
- Collection and QA/QC of CMMS Data for Bond impacted facilities and infrastructure, including:
- Review and upload equipment data from completed As‑Builts to CMMS.
- Review and upload GIS spatial data (building spaces, hardscape/softscape, landscape, infrastructure and security features) to CMMS.
- Managing and maintaining as‑built information related to Bond impacted projects, including:
- Researching data or documents in SharePoint, Doc View or another accessible data source, to produce files or reports such as CAD/BIM As‑Built drawings and underground utilities CAD database.
- Build
LACCD CADD standards compliance review, including:- Utility Infrastructure (ASCE 38‑02 and Underground Utility Standard compliance)
- Spatial Reports, demonstrated in plans or tabular format.
- Supporting As‑Built/M&O data delivery review at Ops Closeout for current Bond projects, including:
- Build
LACCD projects - District wide projects (Infrastructure, security, energy, stormwater)
- Develop record utility maps of Bond impacted facilities and infrastructure.
- Build
- SharePoint record drawings database support for Build
LACCD and LACCD, including:- Research data
- Provide BIM Submittal tracking
- Review underground utilities submittals for conformance to Build
LACCD and LACCD standards - BIM submittal coordination between college project teams and design/construction teams.
- Work with Build
LACCD and LACCD teams to develop BIM and GIS scope of services as requested. - Provide support as requested to BIM team with Revit, AutoCAD, SharePoint, Document Control, ESRI and closeout.
- Review utilities and BIM deliverables for ArcGIS online utility infrastructure integration.
- This position requires site visits to verify field conditions on active construction sites, involving walking sites to physically observe work and document underground utilities and other field conditions for active construction on all campuses.
- Field visits require the use of, including but not limited to, LIDAR scanning, GPR surveying, GPS surveying and photography of existing site conditions.
- Travel to all Build
LACCD and LACCD project sites to provide QAQC and field data collection on an as‑needed basis. - Involves approximately 70% office computer work and 30% field site visits, though this percentage may vary depending on the number of active construction projects each month.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with field construction staff to facilitate data gathering.
