LACCD Project Engineer III - Sustainability

Position Details

This is an on‑site, long term job. You must be located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.

Salary Range: $136K - $152K

• Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in a similar role or position in construction.
• BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related degree. Four additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum years stated above may be substituted for the required education.
• Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative.
• Effectively manage daily work effort in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good verbal and writing communication skills.

• Experience on Educational programs/projects and Division of State Architect (DSA) projects.
• Experience in all parts of the project life cycle, including master planning, design, and closeout.
• Professional Engineer License (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or similar credentials.

• Energy Information System Platform (EIS)
• Energy Efficiency LED Lighting
• Building Management System
• Central Plant Decarbonization (includes local building) / Central Plant/Chillers
• Renewable Energy and Micro‑grid (PV, BESS)
• Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS)

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors such as individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
