The Project Engineer I – Sustainability position provides technical and administrative support to the
BuildLACCD Sustainability Team in the planning, design, procurement, construction, implementation,
- commissioning, and closeout of sustainability and energy-related capital improvement projects throughout the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). Working under the direction of the Sustainability Strike Team Lead, this position assists in coordinating projects that advance the District's sustainability initiatives to include Energy Information Systems (EIS), Building Management Systems (BMS), central plant optimization, LED lighting upgrades, energy efficiency retrofits, renewable energy systems, microgrids, electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, electrification, and other sustainability projects.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar or equivalent position involved in project or construction management of commercial, public, or educational facility construction projects with values in excess of $15M
- BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Construction Management or related field required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design process
