JOB SUMMARY
The transcriptionist is responsible for the processing of all patient test reports from dictation to distribution. He/she is in charge of scheduling outpatient testing. He/she greets visitors and patients. He/she handles all incoming phone calls. He/she processes all of the clerical needs of the department.
Education, Experience, Training- High school graduate.
- Has successfully passed a course in medical terminology.
- Possesses accurate typing skills.
- Has experience in using computers for word processing, etc.
- He/she must have excellent verbal skills.
- Has a general knowledge in office organization and is experienced in the use of office machines.
