We are seeking a highly capable Senior Administrative Support Specialist to provide advanced administrative and student‑support services for the Naval Postgraduate School’s Extended Campus programs. This role supports academic operations, student services, scheduling, and program coordination within a higher‑education environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in supporting faculty, staff, and students in a fast‑paced academic setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high‑level administrative and student support within a higher‑education environment.
- Assist with student records, scheduling, enrollment coordination, and academic program logistics.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain databases, student information systems, and program files.
- Coordinate meetings, events, and academic activities as needed.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for faculty, staff, and students.
- Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations and adherence to institutional processes.
- 5 years of administrative student support experience in an institution of higher education.
- BA/BS degree in program/project administration, logistics, management, or a related professional discipline.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Experience with student information systems, database management, and academic scheduling.
- Strong writing skills for preparing correspondence, reports, and official communications.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
- This position requires onsite work at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
