PURPOSE:

Under the general supervision of the Director of the Student Disability and Accessibility Center (SDAC) and day-to-day guidance from the Operations Analyst, the Reception and Outreach Coordinator performs a full range of moderate to complex office and clerical assignments in support of SDAC’s daily operations and supports advising and administrative staff as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Reception Desk Services:
  • Provides receptionist services for the SDAC Reception Desk, including responding promptly and professionally to all inquiries (in-person, email, & phone) from students, faculty, staff, and community members about SDAC services.
  • Schedule appointments for students and faculty with advisor.
  • Resolves questions related to SDAC services; refers complex or unresolved issues to the Operations Analyst or the Support of the Day position.
  • Opens and closes the Reception Suite and Calming Corner
  • Responsible for processing communications through the main SDAC delegated email account and telephone line.
  • Trains and provides day-to-day work direction to reception student assistants.
2. AIM Application Module & Appointment Management
  • Conducts application and appointment outreach to students who have not followed up after initial contact with SDAC.
  • Reviews the student’s application and academic status to determine assignment to the appropriate advisor based on the student’s needs.
  • Responsible for reviewing appointment requests received through AIM and verifying advisor availability before approving.
