Undocu Success Center Program Specialist
Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of El Centro/Undocu-Success, the Undocu-Success Center Program Specialist performs administrative, technical, and analytical duties in support of the day-to-day administration and operations of the Undocu-Success Center. The position implements established programs and services that support undocumented students, students from mixed-status families, and the broader campus community; interprets and applies applicable policies and procedures;
maintains program information and records; and uses participation, feedback, and other available data to identify operational needs and support program improvements. The position supports CSUMB student success and belonging initiatives by carrying out established program activities, maintaining effective working relationships with campus and community partners, serving as a program liaison, and providing information and assistance regarding Undocu-Success Center programs, services, and resources.
The position supports the work of the Affinity Centers, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and the Office of Community and Belonging.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Administrative Operations and Program Administration
- Perform day-to-day administrative activities that support Undocu-Success Center programs, services, and a welcoming environment for undocumented students and students from mixed-status families.
- Carry out established office and program processes, including maintaining regular office hours, responding to routine program needs, and assisting with multiple operational priorities.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with campus and community partners, including Undocu Otters, Immigrant Legal Defense, Otter Care, Financial Aid, and other resources; serve as a liaison regarding established programs and services.
- Monitor program expenditures and related campus processes, including support for the Monarch Student Emergency Grant, requisitions, records, and internal databases, in accordance with established procedures
Communication and Outreach
- Maintain and update program-related content for the Undocu-Success Center webpage and social media platforms using established communication practices.
- Prepare newsletters, brochures, presentations, and other communications that provide information about Undocu-Success Center programs, services, resources, and activities.
- Carry out event marketing activities, maintain the social media calendar, prepare promotional materials, and respond to general inquiries from students and campus partners.
- Compile and share program information, participation results, and progress updates with appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
Program Implementation and Student Engagement
- Implement community-building and culturally relevant student-centered programs and activities in support of established student belonging and success goals.
- Record, compile, and review participation and event feedback data; identify recurring issues or opportunities for improvement and provide information to support program decisions.
- Maintain outreach to alumni/ae and assist with activities that support a student network focused on mentorship and connection
Data Analysis, Assessment, and Reporting
- Track program activities and progress using established measures, procedures, and institutional goals.
- Compile and analyze program participation, feedback, and other available data using basic research and statistical methods; prepare reports and summaries of findings.
- Assist with the assessment of programs and services supporting student persistence, degree completion, and post-graduation success.
- Identify operational issues and prepare recommendations for improvements to established services and procedures, relying on applicable policies, practices, data, and precedent
Campus Education and Training Support
- Support faculty and staff participation in established activities that advance student success and belonging.
- Prepare and facilitate educational workshops and informational activities for the campus community regarding resources, practices, and issues relevant to undocumented students, using established program materials and guidance.

Knowledge:
Working knowledge of general practices, program, and/or administrative specialty. Basic knowledge of and ability to apply fundamental concepts. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Knowledge of basic methods and procedures for research and statistical analysis and the ability to apply them.
