Job Summary
The Person al Banker I position provides an exceptional customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. It involves processing teller transactions, consulting with customers to address their financial needs, and working as a member of the platform staff.
- Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach in person, over the phone, or other appropriate channels.
- Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure customer needs are met and all problems are resolved.
- Analyze customer credit data and related financial information to recommend appropriate solutions.
- Provide customer support reinforcing the value of current and new technology.
- Process teller transactions and adhere to balancing guidelines.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling expected ethical behavior.
- High School Diploma/GED and at least 6 months of customer service experience, or a college degree, or equivalent military experience.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comfort with new household acquisitions and deepen existing customer relationships.
- Professional verbal and written communication representing Fifth Third Bank.
- Business acumen and sound decision‑making ability.
- SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
- Normal office environment with extended computer screen use.
