Project Assistant

Description We are looking for a Project Assistant to support a busy non-profit event operation in Monterey, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public, is confident using computer-based sales systems, and can provide excellent service in a fast-paced box office setting. The person in this role will help guests purchase admission options, process card payments accurately, and contribute to a smooth on-site ticketing experience.

Responsibilities:

- Assist guests with selecting and purchasing ticket options at the box office during festival operations

- Use a computerized ticketing platform to complete transactions accurately and efficiently

- Process cashless payments by handling credit card purchases in accordance with established procedures

- Provide courteous, attentive support while answering questions and resolving routine ticketing concerns

- Maintain organized transaction records and support general administrative tasks such as scanning and document handling

- Follow scheduling priorities and daily workflow expectations to help keep sales lines moving effectively

- Coordinate with onsite team members regarding shift logistics, guest flow, and operational needs throughout the event

- Maintain a presentable appearance and deliver dependable service across morning, mid, or night shift assignments Requirements - At least 1 year of hands-on experience in customer-facing, administrative, ticketing, or related support work

- Comfort working on a computer and learning a ticket sales platform similar to other high-volume ticketing systems

- Ability to process credit card transactions with accuracy and strong attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset suited to public-facing event support

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic administrative tasks, including scanning and data handling

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines and adapt to changing priorities

- Availability to work assigned shifts in Monterey, California, and comply with onsite attendance expectations Talent Match®
