• Must have experience working with network infrastructure, preferably with a focus on Extreme Networks products and solutions.
• Have a strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including but not limited to LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security.
• Extreme Networks certification highly recommended.
• Certified to work on Extreme Networks products such as switches, routers, access points, and network management tools.
• Experience in managing network‑related projects, including planning, implementation, and documentation such as network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansions.
• Shall possess a combination of experience and skills with the following manufacturers and applications:
  • VMware NSX:
    Install, Configure, Manage (V6.2)
  • Ruckus Layer 2 Switches / Wireless Controller / Wireless Access Points
  • Palo Alto Networks Firewall (PA-7050 / PA-3060 / PA-3260 / PA-5450 / Wild Fire/URL Filtering)
  • Brocade MPLS Implementation Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches
  • Cisco Networks switches and routers
  • Aruba Networks:
    Excellent knowledge of Wireless Controllers / Access Points / Airwave / Clear Pass
  • Ciena 100G OME 6500 DWDM System
  • Extreme Networks Layer 2/3, MLXE Switches / Extreme IQ / OSPF, BGP, and MPLS
  • Solar Winds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends
• Education and experience:
  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • AA/AS degree with 7 years of experience.
  • 9+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Extreme Networks certification: IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) and applicable CE/OS certification.
