VP​/Director of Finance

Description

We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead and oversee financial operations in Monterey, California. This role requires a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with a focus on driving strategic financial planning and decision-making. The ideal candidate will excel at managing diverse financial functions and guiding teams toward achieving organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage annual budgets to ensure financial stability and alignment with organizational objectives.

- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring all financial records are accurate and compliant.

- Lead the creation and execution of budget processes to optimize resource allocation.

- Prepare detailed financial reports to support strategic decision-making and provide insights into company performance.

- Monitor and forecast cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity and support operational needs.

- Analyze sales forecasts and integrate them into overall financial planning.

- Manage expense budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and adherence to financial goals.

- Drive budgeting and forecasting initiatives to improve accuracy and predictability.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering growth and collaboration.

- Collaborate with senior executives to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Requirements - At least 7 years of experience in finance, with a focus on leadership roles.

- In-depth knowledge of annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Proven expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

- Strong skills in cash flow forecasting and management.

- Familiarity with sales forecasting and its impact on financial planning.

- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively, including expense and operational budgets.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to support strategic financial decisions.

- Strong leadership and communication abilities to guide teams and collaborate with executives.
