The Outpatient Nutrition and Diabetes Program Manager manages the Medical Nutrition Therapy Program (including nutrition assessment, support, patient intervention, and education) and the Diabetes Program for outpatients at Ryan Ranch and other designated outpatient locations.
Requirements- Must be a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or an equivalent licensed, certified, or registered health professional with diabetes education experience.
- Master’s degree is required.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is required.
- Fluency in English, both oral and written communication skills.
- Experience managing projects independently and working effectively in a team setting.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including public speaking and writing skills for correspondence and newsletters.
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience demonstrating leadership and financial oversight.
- Experience in curriculum, course, and/or program development.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to project a positive, warm, friendly, and healing attitude towards patients and the community.
- Excellent customer service skills and flexibility to adapt to rapid changes.
- Valid CA driver’s license, automobile insurance as required by California, and access to a vehicle for daily work.
- Board Certified - Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) preferred.
- Experience managing outpatient diabetes and/or nutrition programs strongly preferred.
- Is the candidate a Registered Dietitian or other licensed, certified, or registered health professional with diabetes education experience?
- Does the candidate possess a Master’s Degree?
- Does the candidate have at least two years of supervisory experience?
The ideal candidate will have managed an outpatient diabetes program, including supervising at least a small team of dietitians. Candidates without supervisory experience will not be considered.
Experience working in outpatient or acute care facilities is preferred.
