Laundry Supervisor – Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Laundry Supervisor/Team Leader is to support the Housekeeping Management Team in overseeing daily laundry operations. This role involves assisting housekeeping staff, upholding quality standards for internal and external guest satisfaction, and ensuring clear, ongoing direction to maintain high hospitality standards.
- Supervise the Laundry Attendant team and support Housekeeping Managers.
- Assist Housekeeping Supervisors with inspecting guest rooms.
- Support Housekeeping Managers and Supervisors with purchasing and inventory control for the department.
Rate: $26.50 hourly
Schedule:
Must be able to work flexible schedule, weekends and holidays, based on business demands.
Working Relationships:
Reports to Housekeeping Management Team. Interacts:
Internal and External Guests.
Working Environment:
The hotel is in a public business atmosphere, which varies temperature based indoor and outdoor climate. The nature of this job is primarily indoors but will require some outdoor activity based on business. In addition, the purchasing area is often hot/cold, damp and the temperature may vary throughout the day.
Some travel may be required in order to attend hotel events not limited to meetings, trainings etc.
Education:
HS diploma required, some college preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 1 year housekeeping supervisor or 2 years Room Attendant / Laundry experience within the hospitality industry or equivalent. Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to carry, grasp, push and pull heavy loads as well as lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes, carts weighing between 50-200 pounds. Constantly walking/standing/moving about property up to 8+ hours a day. Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and crawling and sitting to perform any/all general duties.
