Food & Beverage Manager

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for assisting in coordinating, supervising and directing all aspects of F&B outlet's operations, while maintaining a profitable F&B outlet and high quality products and service levels. He/she is expected to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.

Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet, supervising outlet personnel, responding to guest complaints in a timely manner, working with other F&B managers, keeping immediate supervisor informed of all problems, assisting in coordinating and monitoring all phases of loss prevention, preparing and submitting required reports, ensuring preparation of required reports, monitoring quality of service, assisting in menu planning and preparation, ensuring compliance with local liquor laws and health and sanitation regulations, ensuring compliance with SOP's in all outlets, ensuring compliance with requisition procedures, being visible on the floor and assisting staff as needed, conducting staff performance reviews, ensuring the training of employees on SOP's and technical job tasks, being involved in and/or conducting departmental and hotel training, interviewing candidates for front-of-house F&B positions, completing tip reporting, understanding, implementing and monitoring corporate promotions, ensuring overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications include effective communication both verbally and written, listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns, multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions, attending all hotel required meetings and trainings, participating in M.O.D. coverage as required, maintaining regular attendance, maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming, complying with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations, maximizing efforts towards productivity, handling problems, understanding and evaluating complex information, maintaining confidentiality, performing other duties as requested by management, and maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
