Position: IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC) with Security Clearance
Duties Help
* You will perform operating systems analysis, design, and programming in support of operational and developmental users of FNMOC large­scale computers while providing continuous support for the Reachback Operations for the IT Services Department.
* You will be responsible for coding, testing, operational integration, documentation, analysis and design for new systems and major modifications to operating system-related functions.
* You will survey users to develop requirements definitions, preparing system specifications, and performing genera! and detailed level system designs.
* You will perform unit and systems testing, coordinate integration of modifications into the operational systems and maintain numerous programs including (PERL, C, AND Kom Shell).
* You will perform installation, upgrading and enhancement of operational software utilized in the monitoring of systems architectures and applications.
* You will conduct new product evaluations, provide recommendations, prepare systems requirements, design, maintenance, usage and operations documentation.
* You will assist in the preparation of Life Cycle management documentation, analyze future processing requirements, evaluate hardware and software alternatives for meeting these requirements, and structuring management systems to control them.
* You will analyze, resolve system problems and monitor information systems at all levels of classification.
* You will provide consultation and advice to ITSD operations personnel, maintenance technicians, application programmers and analysts regarding operating system technical details and methods to improve efficiency. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR), proficiency level (ADVANCE) the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
* The incumbent is required to obtain the foundational qualification within 9 months and residential qualification within 12 months of appointment and maintain those credentials as described in DoDM 8140.03.
* The incumbent is required to participate in continuous professional development program as described in DoDM 8140.03.
* An annual 20-hour minimum of Cyber Workforce related continuous professional development must be documented and completed in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
