Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise and data center networks across onprem and cloud environments. Partner with security, cloud, and application teams to deliver a secure, reliable, and scalable network. This role drives modernization, automation, and documentation while mentoring junior engineers.
- Responsibilities: Architect and implement campus, data center, and cloud network solutions using industry standard routing, switching, and overlay technologies.
- Configure and support enterprise grade routing/switching and load balancing platforms.
- Operate next generation firewalls, NAT, and VPN services for site-to-site and remote access connectivity.
- Manage wireless networks, RF design, and enterprise authentication/authorization across endpoints.
- Implement identity based access controls and network segmentation aligned with zero trust principles.
- Use network assurance/observability tools for compliance, performance tuning, and change automation.
- Administer DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) with high availability and capacity planning.
- Support unified communications, QoS for voice/video, and troubleshoot multicast when needed.
- Integrate networking with compute platforms and cloud providers; design hybrid connectivity and BGP based routing.
- Perform Tier 3 troubleshooting, root cause analysis, lifecycle upgrades, and capacity planning.
- Maintain thorough documentation (diagrams, standards, inventories, runbooks) and knowledge articles.
- Collaborate with cross?functional teams and vendors; participate in on?call rotation and maintenance windows.
- Adhere to security policies and standard operating procedures.
Requirements: Education:
Bachelor’s in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
7–10+ years in multi-site, production enterprise networking. - Routing/Switching:
Strong OSPF/BGP, policy/route filtering, first hop redundancy, and HA designs, SD-Access, SGTs - Security/Firewalls:
Experience with leading NGFW platforms and enterprise VPN. - Load Balancing:
Experience with enterprise L4–L7 load balancers and DNS. - Wireless:
Enterprise WLAN design, 802.1X/EAP, and RF planning. - Identity & Access: NAC, endpoint profiling/posture, and role?based access.
- DDI:
Administration of DNS/DHCP/IPAM using best practices. - Cloud & DC:
Networking across public cloud providers and data center fabrics/overlays with ACI, VxLAN. - Unified Comms & Compute:
QoS for voice/video, integration with compute platforms. - Tools:
Network assurance/observability, packet analysis, flow telemetry, SNMP/syslog; strong documentation skills. - Certifications (preferred): CCNP/CCIE or equivalent; security/wireless/cloud networking certifications.
- Advantage if you have: AI/ML(AIOps), Python Scripting, LLMs, MCP-Servers.
This senior role blends architecture and hands-on delivery, ensuring high availability and security while mentoring the team and driving modernization.
