Summary:

The Senior Storage Engineer will be a part of the data center support group, tasked with configuring SAN/NAS systems, managing backup solutions, and maintaining the security of the data center.

Essential Job Functions:

• This includes monitoring & providing daily support to ensure the health & availability of IT systems/infrastructure, both on premises & for cloud-based programs & applications.
• Responsibilities will involve planning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, & managing all Storage servers & applications. The role involves designing, implementing, & overseeing an organization's data storage systems, working w/ networks, databases, & other high-capacity systems.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• May lead & direct the work of others. Support IT Supply Technician as assigned.

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Skills include VMWare vSphere, Linux Red Hat, Windows Server, SQL, MySQL, EMC SAN technologies & applications, & Active Directory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ Yrs of EXP
  -or
  - Substitute with AA/AS with 7+ Yrs of EXP
  -or
  - Substitute with 9+ Yrs of EXP serving as storage engineer.
• Training, Certifications, EXP, & Clearance Requirements:
  • IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification & applicable CE/OS Certification.
• Must have EXP with SAN technologies in a highly virtualized & converged environment & maintaining a high availability datacenter.

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• Secret Clearance
