Supervisory Management Specialist

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce, to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is located in Presidio of Monterey, CA with Directorate of Public Works. This is located approximately 85 miles south of San Francisco and 50 miles from Silicon Valley.

• Provide technical housing expertise and assistance to garrison Commander/Manager and other installation staff in representing Department of the Army (DA), Army Command, and garrison objectives.
• Develop garrison policies for all aspects of housing programs.
• Lead in Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) data collection, analyzes data, and reports submission.
• Develop and sets performance standards for all subordinates, reviews their accomplishments, counsels them on deficiencies, gives advice and instructions on work and administrative matters.
• Serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), responsible for management oversight; guidance, fiscal policy, and control of contractor owned-government leased quarters as required or appointed.

• This is an inclement mission essential position and the incumbent is expected to make every attempt to report for duty on time and/or/remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
• Must be available to be called back, after-hours, for emergencies.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license.
