Job Description & Requirements
TNAA Total Med RN seeks a travel nurse Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN for a 13‑week assignment in Monterey, California. The right RN should have 3 years of recent acute care experience.

As an L&D Travel Nurse, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Stay with and monitor the patient throughout labor.
- Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
- Check the cervix periodically to monitor progression and lack of dilation.
- Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after the birthing process.
- Aid the physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
- Provide immediate care to the newborn.
L&D Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to lift 20 pounds easily; moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds ause of the fast‑paced environment, L&D RNs must possess strong coping skills for stress and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Requirements: AWHONN, BLS, NRP, ACLS, 5 years of experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
