Network Engineer IV

The Network Engineer IV leads the network team to support education & .mil networks.

• Uses knowledge of WAN/LAN/WLAN systems to design, install, operate, and maintain internal & external networks.
• Tests & evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
• Has experience with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Relies on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Network performance monitoring, optimization, testing, implementation projects, network security controls, advanced troubleshooting, and analysis of all elements of the network infrastructure.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
• OR AA/AS with 7+ years of experience.
• OR Substitute with 9+ years of relevant experience working with network infrastructure products & solutions.
• Training, Certifications, Experience, and Clearance Requirements: IAT Level II (CCNA Security/CSA+/GICSP/GSEC/Security+ CE/SSCP) Certification and applicable CE/OS Certifications, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent required.
• Prefer experience and skills with the following manufacturers and applications:
  Extreme Networks Layer 2/3, MLXE Switches/Extreme IQ, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS, VMware NSX:
  Install, Configure, Manage (V6.2), Ruckus Layer 2 Switches/Wireless Controller/Wireless Access Points, Palo Alto Firewall knowledge of PA-7050/PA-3060/PA-3260/PA-5450/Wildfire/URL Filtering, Brocade MPLS Implementation Layer 2 & Layer 3 switches, Cisco switches & routers, Aruba Networks Excellent knowledge of Wireless Controllers/Access Points/Airwave/Clear Pass, Ciena 100G OME 6500 DWDM System, and Solar Winds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends.
• Background in Management, Project Leadership, and Networks.

• Secret Clearance.
