General Description
Perform receptionist and clerical responsibilities in the University Marketing & Communications Office.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service by welcoming and assisting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and taking and delivering messages.
- Pick up, deliver, sort and distribute mail.
- Copy, scan and file documents.
- Assist with special events; including social media coverage.
- Assist staff with paperwork, preparing reports, gathering information, monitoring office supply inventory, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Assist with marketing content creation and idea generation as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Organization and attention to detail a must.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Experience using Mac OS.
- Understanding of confidentiality.
