Are you passionate about helping young learners thrive in literacy? Join the Montevallo Scholars Literacy Tutor team!

As a Literacy Tutor, you'll provide engaging, twice-weekly after-school tutoring to elementary students during the spring semester and participate in a four-week literacy enrichment program in June 2026. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact while applying your coursework in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Education and Experience

Must be admitted to the Teacher Education Program and currently enrolled in Methods Block Courses.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Ideal Candidates:

* Currently enrolled in Methods Block courses (Early Childhood/Elementary Education)

* Passionate about literacy and student success

* Reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to learn through hands-on teaching

Preferred Major Licenses, Certification or Registrations

Ideal candidates would be currently enrolled in Methods Block courses.
