CRM Administrator and Data Analyst

The CRM Administrator and Data Analyst serves as the functional lead and first‑level support for the University’s customer relationship management (CRM) system, Slate. This includes maintaining the general functionality of the system, ensuring data integrity and reporting, and communicating with and supporting functional users. This position resides within Information Services and Technology (IS&T) and reports to the Director of Project Management and Academic Technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with and support key offices on using the Slate CRM system.
  • Serve as functional lead and hands‑on administrator for the Slate CRM system, managing projects for all functional users including undergraduate and graduate admissions, University marketing & communications, and other functional areas.
  • Collaborate with internal and external University partners to design, test, and maintain integrations between Slate, Constituo, Ellucian Banner, and third‑party systems to ensure reliable data flow and system alignment.
  • Consistently improve the integration and mapping of data between the ERP (Ellucian Banner) and the Slate CRM system.
  • Create and maintain communication plans for prospective students throughout the recruitment cycle in collaboration with undergraduate and graduate admissions and marketing & communications.
  • Develop and maintain Slate queries, reports, test plans and exports to monitor operations, evaluate workflows, and support undergraduate and graduate admissions.
  • Implement events in the Slate CRM system.
  • Ensure data integrity including structures, tables, forms, data integrity and security, the flow of data across processes/units, etc.
  • Provide support and comprehensive training for functional Slate CRM users.
  • Remain current with new features or opportunities within the Slate CRM system that may assist in reaching enrollment goals.
  • Manage the functionality of the application process across all populations, working with key stakeholders in all areas on yearly refreshes.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation on Slate support and operational processes.
  • Escalate issues and risks to product support teams as needed.
  • Handle multiple assignments successfully while meeting deadlines and maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Assist functional users with special projects and activities as needed.
  • Represent the department at various campus and community events and/or meetings and committees.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with SQL, systems/technology integration and database application.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to simplify complex processes.
  • High level of dependability, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels and in a diverse workforce.

Education and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data analytics, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Education substituted for experience? No
  • Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in SQL, reporting applications, or data analysis, preferably in a higher education environment. Experience substituted for education? Yes
