The DISHWASHER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME) position at Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services

Location:

75 College Drive, Montevallo, AL 35115. Salary: $12.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Full‑time or part‑time; days may vary between 7:00 am‑9:00 pm.

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes; wash by hand or place in rack or conveyor to dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels per standards.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
