Job Details
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Accurately posts journal entries to the General Ledger, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Performs full reconciliation and balancing of ATM/ITM withdrawals, deposits, and network transactions.
• Investigates individual ATM/ITM transaction disputes via internal dispute systems and ensure timely, professional communication with members using the credit union's texting system.
• Reviews and verifies GL activity for accuracy and consistency.
• Utilizes the CRM system to identify, investigate, and resolve error notifications that impact cash or transactional accuracy.
• Participates in resolution of internal support tickets related to potential cash shortages or service interruptions.
• Processes negotiable instruments by scanning, balancing, and verifying checks received from branches and departments.
• Resolves discrepancies through detailed research and corrective action.
• Executes transactions with accuracy and efficiency, including the clearing of checks and posting of corrections.
• Reviews system-generated outputs for errors and inconsistencies, resolving issues promptly.
• Prepares, analyzes, and balances General Ledger account reconciliations on a routine basis.
• Identifies discrepancies and proactively resolves issues with minimal oversight.
• Documents findings and trends for review and process improvement.
• Conducts detailed research on GL entries, checks, and member account transactions as needed.
• Assists other departments with data collection, analysis, and reporting for special projects or audits.
• Stays current on accounting procedures, system updates, and regulatory changes impacting role responsibilities.
• Maintains a member first mindset.
• Upholds core values and builds team member and customer relationships.
• Completes all training as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
