Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant position in the Chief Operating Office on the Montgomery Campus provides administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Responsibilities include greeting visitors, screening calls, coordinating schedules, preparing minutes, scheduling appointments and travel, maintaining calendars, coordinating conference calls, executing multiple tasks across offices, analyzing requests and recommending solutions, coordinating projects with internal and external departments, and managing special events such as commencement activities and Board of Trustee meetings.
The role maintains confidentiality and performs all tasks with professionalism and discretion.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of four years of related work experience at the executive management level or extensive knowledge of the university
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Calendar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with all types of internal employees and a variety of external agencies and organizations
- Professionalism in a busy, demanding environment
- Ability to learn and use University programs, processes and software
