Overview

Auburn Advancement is excited to begin the search for a TES Donor Relations Stewardship Coordinator. The individual in this position will represent Auburn University and will provide direct support in the Donor Relations Department of Auburn Advancement.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing acknowledgement letters for the Senior Vice President of Advancement and the President of the university (25%).
  • Preparing tribute notifications for gifts made in honor or in memory of an individual (25%).
  • Assisting with special impact reporting (20%).
  • Maintaining donor records with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Assisting with planning and executing recognition and stewardship records, materials and events (10%).
  • Monitors budget and prepares vouchers and statements for reconciliation (10%).
  • Participating in other special projects, which may include gift agreement related projects, donor societies, marketing functions or document templates for the unit and partner units (10%).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution plus 1 year of work experience in public relations work and general office operations
  • OR Master’s degree
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of public relations work is required.
  • Candidates should have work experience that required them to exercise independent judgment and discretion to deal with routine to moderately complex administrative matters.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to deal creatively, confidently and professionally with a wide variety of individual donors; and have the ability to take initiative, work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, written communication skills, intermediate/advanced computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook.

A skills assessment test may be administered.
