Administrative Assistant (Intermediate/High School)
The Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the Intermediate and High School by providing clerical, organizational, and technical assistance to school leadership, staff, students, and families. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate student records and serving as the primary point of contact for the school's Student Information System (SIS), including Power School.
Education & Experience- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous administrative or school office experience preferred
- Experience working with student data systems (Power School preferred)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to learn and manage student information systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced school environment
- Serve as the primary school-level administrator for Power School
- Maintain accurate student enrollment, attendance, scheduling, and demographic records
- Process student registrations, withdrawals, and transfers
- Generate reports for administration, district, and state requirements
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality of student records
- Provide support and training to staff on Power School functions as needed
- Provide front office support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries
- Manage correspondence, emails, and internal communications
- Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)
- Assist with scheduling meetings, events, and school activities
- Support preparation of reports, letters, and school documents
- Assist families with enrollment, registration, and general school information
- Maintain student cumulative records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff
- Assist with attendance tracking and reporting
- Support testing coordination, report cards, and progress reports
- Coordinate with teachers and administration to ensure accurate student data
- Support school-wide initiatives, events, and compliance requirements

Board Approved Salary Schedule

240 Days
