Overview

Qualifications (GS-7)To be qualified at the GS-7 level, you must meet at least one of the following conditions:
Specialized Experience, Education, or a combination of Education and Experience.
- Specialized experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level. This experience includes handling official records, maintaining file systems and filing procedures, entering information into electronic recordkeeping systems, organizing and archiving files, retrieving information, and reviewing legal documents for coding and data entry.
- Education: One full year of graduate-level education in a related field (e.g., Business Management, Public Administration, or Computer Science).
- Superior Academic Achievement: Possess a Bachelor's Degree or expect to complete the requirements within the next 9 months and have at least one of: class standing in the upper third of the graduating class; a GPA of 3.0 or higher overall or in the final two years; a GPA of 3.5 or higher in the major or final two years; or election to a national scholastic honor society.

Education and Experience:
Combinations of graduate education and experience may be used. Compute percentage as: (months of qualifying experience / 12) + (semester hours of graduate education / 18); total must be at least 100%. - ICTAP and CTAP: Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) and Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) provide selection priority for eligible displaced federal employees. To be well-qualified, you must meet all qualification requirements and score 85 or better on ranking criteria. You must provide proof of eligibility with your application.
