Operations Manager
Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Montgomery, AL

What You Will Do- Manage entire construction projects, including planning, directing, coordinating or budgeting activities relating to the construction. Responsible for meeting job requirements and controlling costs by coordinating and effectively utilizing all of the resources needed on each project.
- Assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project.
- Verify project estimate for completeness with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and all contract documents.
- Supervise total construction efforts to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with owner, A/E representatives, subcontractors, etc.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control, etc.), and provide day‑to‑day direction of onsite administrative staff.
- Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Oversee and review extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
- Assume responsibility for safety, quality and productivity of subcontractors as well as Caddell craft employees. Monitor the efficient use of materials and equipment and the contractual performance of the project.
- Administer financial tracking systems to monitor project costs and forecast the remaining project cost.
- Prepare complete plan of execution.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
- Strive to foster good work relations with customers and subcontractors.
- Assist staff in review and compliance of company policies and procedures and job responsibilities.
- Have full responsibility and accountability for developing, implementing and executing an effective Safety and Health Program on the project.
- Working Conditions: Construction setting, travel required, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others.

Education / Experience5-10 years' experience in the construction industry working on government contracts would be preferred. Four‑year degree in engineering or construction management and 10 years' experience in the construction industry required.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesShows leadership, concise execution of plans, vision of project future, and effective communication of vision to subordinates, integrity, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of all applicable Caddell processes and procedures. Strong client relations skills are a must. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
While the salary range is typically between $110,000 - $132,000 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
