Commissioning Manager
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all commissioning and system startup activities on construction projects. This role ensures that building systems are installed, tested, and fully operational in accordance with design requirements and project specifications.
Responsibilities- Plan and coordinate commissioning activities on mission-critical construction sites.
- Execute system startup activities ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Manage construction scheduling and subcontractor activities.
- Validate and test systems interfaces and controls.
- Ensure comprehensive testing and validation of building systems.
- Experience with commissioning on mission-critical construction sites.
- Able to understand systems interfaces and controls.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling and project management software (e.g., P6).
- Ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in construction, commissioning, or MEP.
Skills & Qualifications
- Safety-first mindset with experience in large-scale commercial work.
- Proven ability to create and review task plans.
- Strong blueprint and shop drawing reading skills.
- Familiarity with digital workflows and construction platforms.
- Experience using tools like Bluebeam, MS Office, and other common construction platforms.
- Self-starter with a professional demeanor and adaptability.
- Enjoys mentoring and developing team members.
- Preferred certifications: OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid.
The role requires being 100% on-site at a designated project location, working in a fast-paced and structured environment. Standard workdays often start early, and the workweek can extend to 6–7 days during peak project phases. The position involves working on large-scale projects, such as $1B metadata centers, with an expectation of quick onboarding and immediate ownership of responsibilities. Relocation to Montgomery, AL, is required, with moving expenses reimbursed.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
