Job Overview

Associate Editor, Finance

The Foundry is Dotdash Meredith's award-winning native content studio. We excel at creating high‑quality, insights‑driven content that inspires and engages. By combining data with storytelling expertise, we connect brands with passionate audiences across multiple platforms and drive action.

Dotdash Meredith is one of the largest media companies in the world, reaching more than 200 million consumers across brands such as PEOPLE, Verywell Health, Better Homes & Gardens, Parents, Byrdie, Travel + Leisure, and Real Simple.

The Associate Editor will join an agile team that creates native content for a wide range of advertisers across our brands. The role involves managing multiple projects and deadlines, collaborating with art directors, designers, content strategists, marketers, and freelance writers to deliver content for digital, print, and social channels.

This is a full‑time role reporting to the Director of Finance Content.

  • Recruit and manage experienced freelancers to complete assignments and grow the department’s vetted writer list.
  • Conduct thorough first‑edit reviews to balance brand voice with advertiser messaging.
  • Write engaging content — articles, destination landing pages, video outlines or scripts, and dark social media posts/Stories across platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
  • Track and implement client feedback through multiple rounds of review in a demanding, fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborate with designers and photo editors on visual components, selecting images and inserting them into article documents.
  • Attend internal and client‑facing meetings throughout campaign life cycles.
  • Perform daily and weekly administrative tasks (updating timelines, generating memos, sharing article links, creating style “cheat sheets”).
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail across written assignments, communications, and file management.
