Building Architect

Spherion has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Architect to create, edit, and refine building designs, ensuring they meet high standards and exceed client expectations. The Architect will be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed master plan files, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality. The ideal candidate will apply expert knowledge of drafting to enhance project outcomes.

This is a full time permanent position.

• Contribute significantly to all phases of architectural design, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
• Develop innovative, context-sensitive design solutions that respond to client needs and site conditions
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure technical accuracy and integration across disciplines
• Produce clear, accurate, and code-compliant architectural drawings and specifications
• Oversee and review work of junior staff and interns, providing mentorship and guidance
• Attend client meetings, site visits and inspections; prepare meeting minutes and field reports
• Research materials, products and systems to inform design and detailing
• Ensure designs comply with local zoning laws, building codes, ADA regulations and sustainability goals
• Manage project timelines and budgets in collaboration with project managers

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution
• 5+ years’ of professional experience in architecture
• Licensure required
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, detailing and construction methods
• Excellent design, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
