The V. P. Black College of Biblical Studies is seeking an inspiring, energetic, and qualified faculty member to help strengthen the Biblical Studies offerings at Faulkner University. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching courses in Old or New Testament text, Greek or Hebrew language, and similar courses at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels of the college. Faculty members will also be expected to take on scholarship and service responsibilities to build up programs in the College of Biblical Studies and the University as a whole, including mentoring and advising Bible majors.
The college is seeking candidates who have a passion for student engagement and advancing the mission of Faulkner University. Faulkner is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time, 9-month position with the possibility of summer teaching. Faculty rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with academic qualifications, teaching experience, and research.
Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in the field of Biblical Studies, Old, or New Testament required
- Highly qualified applicants who are ABD will be considered
- Active member of the church of Christ required
- Alignment with Faulkner's statement "Here We Stand"
