Position: Career Success Coach (Part-time)
Position Summary

The Career Success Coach supports the College's commitment to student success by providing proactive career guidance to help students explore career pathways, understand program options, and prepare for employment.

Continuation of position is contingent upon grant renewal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide career guidance to help students explore career pathways and prepare for employment.

* Assist students with career readiness skills, including career planning, resume development, interview preparation, job search strategies, and accessing internships or job shadowing opportunities.

* Conduct mock interviews, provide feedback, and coach students on responding effectively to interview questions.

* Engage with diverse student populations-including early college, dual enrollment, and adult learners-to support career development and program exploration.

* Provide strategies for networking through career fairs, employer events, conferences, and online platforms such as Linked In.

* Conduct outreach through meetings, workshops, presentations, classroom visits, and targeted communication to promote career services.

* Maintain accurate records of student interactions, referrals, workshops, employer engagement, and career outcomes in approved College systems for monthly performance reporting.

* Collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus departments to support coordinated services and shared interventions.

* Support Career Services events, including job fairs, employer visits, classroom presentations, and workshops.

* Identify student skill gaps and recommend relevant workshops, training, or resources.

* Refer students to academic advising, tutoring, counseling, and retention services as appropriate.

* Actively market and promote career services to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employers.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

Minimum Qualifications:

* Associate's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution

* Strong oral and written communication skills

* Ability to foster positive relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse student populations, including first-generation, adult learners, and those from underrepresented communities.

* Experience facilitating workshops, presentations, or small-group sessions

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in career services, workforce development, student support, or related areas.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.

* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare required reports.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
