Vaughn Forest Church is seeking its next Student Minister to lead ministry for grades 6-12. The role includes:

Vaughn Forest Church in Montgomery, Alabama, is seeking a Student Minister to provide vision and leadership for students in grades 6-12, with a strong emphasis on shepherding both students and their families. This role calls for a relational leader who can build trust and unity within the ministry. The Student Minister will create engaging opportunities for spiritual growth through worship, discipleship, and meaningful connections, ensuring that students are encouraged and equipped to live out their faith.
In addition to leading students directly, the Student Minister will recruit, train, and develop a team of committed adult volunteers who can share in the work of the ministry. Collaboration with the broader church staff is also a key part of the role, including strengthening connections with college ministry to create a smooth transition for graduating students. This position is well-suited for a spiritually mature leader with a heart for the next generation and a desire to help restore unity and momentum in this important season of ministry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility of 6th - 12th grade students
- Develop outreach and discipleship opportunities for the students
- Develop and train adult leadership team
- Connect with VF students and their friends within the community in healthy relational context
- Develop ministry strategies for the parents and families of the students
- Perform normal pastoral duties throughout the church
