Job Description
The School of Accountancy in the College of Business at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is accepting applications for a 9‑month tenure‑track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Accounting. The selected candidate will start in August 2026. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting, participate in research and scholarly activities consistent with AACSB expectations, and engage in service activities within the school, college, university, profession, and community.
To be considered, applicants should submit a Letter of Interest/Intent, Curriculum Vitae, and Professional Reference Sheet. Finalists will be asked to provide official transcripts.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting.
- Participate in research and scholarly activities aligned with AACSB standards.
- Engage in service activities within the school, college, university, profession, and community.
- Doctorate in Accounting or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution (ABD will be considered).
- Demonstrated capacity for high‑quality teaching (evidence from teaching evaluations, if available).
- Evidence of scholarly productivity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teaching interests in accounting information systems, data analytics, or AI are preferred but all areas will be considered.
