Industrial Maintenance Teacher

Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain and hold Alabama Teacher's Certification Bachelor's Degree or higher with an endorsement in Technical Education within the Career Technical Education Division.
• Willingness to complete any certification requirements.
• Work experience and understanding of industrial mechanics and pneumatics, hydraulics, electricity, electronics, AC/DC current, circuits, meter reading, schematic reading, engines, and safety.

Essential Duties:

• Establish a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
• Establish effective rapport with students.
• Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide an educational foundation.
• Establish a good relationship with students, parents, co-workers, volunteers, and other visitors.
• Complete and maintain career tech records and documentation.
• Attend career tech meetings, professional development activities, and functions.
• Sponsor career tech student organization work environment.
