School Psychologist – Bridgewater, New Jersey (Surrounding Areas) Leave Coverage | Full-Time

Make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and student-centered educational environment dedicated to supporting middle school students. This full-time leave coverage opportunity offers the chance to serve as a key member of the Child Study Team, working with approximately 40 students in grades 6–8 to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

Assignment Details:

  • Location:

    Bridgewater, NJ (serving surrounding areas)
  • Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Duration:
    September 1, 2026 – December 23, 2026
  • Caseload:
    Approximately 40 students
  • Grade Levels: 6th–8th
  • Role:
    Member of the Child Study Team

Key

Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey certification as a School Psychologist (required)
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school students
  • Strong knowledge of Child Study Team processes and special education regulations
  • Experience conducting psychological evaluations and interpreting assessment data
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an active member of the Child Study Team, supporting student evaluations and services
  • Conduct initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and psychological assessments in compliance with NJ state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement IEPs and intervention plans
  • Provide counseling and crisis support services as needed
  • Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs to enhance academic success
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state policies
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities

Compensation for this position ranges from $45.11 to $65.11. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
