jr varsity cheerleading coach temporary
qualifications:
- current alabama teacher's certification (preferred) or classified dependent upon qualifications of the person holding the position
- previous experience as a competitive cheerleader participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
- must be available to attend after school practices and all sporting events
- must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students
essential duties:
- works with cheerleaders during practices and sports activities
- holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages students to participate
- develops a regular practice schedule and organizes practice time to provide both individual and team development
- follows established procedures in the event of an injury
- conferences with parents/guardians, as necessary, regarding the academic, behavioral & sports performance of their student
- attend the ahsaa sponsored rules clinic for his/her sport
