Per-K Aide
Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must have nine (9) hours of early childhood education college course-work or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialed through Council of Professional Recognition or an Early Childhood Education Associate degree or an Associate degree in Child Development
Essential Duties:
- Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and managing small groups
- Ensure child safety and promote positive social interactions throughout the day
- Help organize classroom materials and learning centers
- Support observations and documentation of children's development as directed by lead teacher
- Help with daily cleaning and organizing of the learning environment
- Complete required OSR professional development hours (at least 20 annually)
- Assist with other duties as assigned

This position is funded by a grant. Therefore, tenure cannot be gained in this position.

The person selected for this position must agree to a background check, be fingerprinted, and pay a $46.20 fee. This is required by law.

For employees starting work after the beginning date of the work term, the salary will be pro-rated and based on the number of contract days left in the school year, divided by the remaining months in the contract year.
