Tutoring
Responsibilities
Tutors work shifts on campus in either the Learning Center or Instructional Support Lab. They meet with students in person or online to provide academic support to AUM’s students in their major area. They provide guidance, demonstrate with examples, and model effective note‑taking, study, and test‑taking techniques. Tutors also function as academic coaches by encouraging students and helping them learn how to access resources independently.
Tutors utilize the appointment scheduling tool Trac Cloud for the purpose of entering post‑session summary notes for professors. Tutors are responsible for sanitizing their in‑person work stations, scheduling appointments in the absence of a front desk worker, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Applicant must be a currently‑enrolled graduate or undergraduate student at AUM, with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
